HF Academy
Peer Support Basic Training
The Peer Support Basic Training course teaches the fundamentals of professional peer support.
Participants learn how to provide professional support to those affected by traumatic events, how to conduct conversations confidently, and how to understand the possibilities and limitations of their role as peer supporters. There is a particular emphasis on practical exercises and realistic conversation scenarios.
Training in critical incident stress management is conducted in accordance with the standards of the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF).

The Peer Support Refresher Training draws on experiences from practical work, deepens existing skills, and provides opportunities for reflection, case studies, and new professional insights.
